Name: Elim Garak. 'Elim' or 'Lyuzha' to his mother. To you, he's either 'Garak' or 'Mister Garak'. Don't forget it. Age: 46 Birth date: November 16, 1960 Height: 5'10" Weight: 180lbs Likes: classical music, literature, films, photography, linguistics, politics, economy, debates, tea, chocolate, vodka, discipline, diligence Dislikes ignorance, smart asses, reality TV, Jeopardy, popular music, the overly sexualized society (where has modesty gone? Honestly!) Habits: Once Garak has settled in someplace, he immediately establishes a routine. At five o'clock in the morning, Garak gets out of bed, makes coffee (in a pot on the stove), has coffee, takes a shower, gets dressed, reads the newspaper, and if he has a TV set available, turns on the various news channels/morning shows. He goes to work, be it as an office clerk, a gardener, as a delivery boy or a teacher He returns to his apartment, locks the door, and reads his newspaper. He watches the late night newscasts and goes to bed around midnight. This repeats every single day, if at all possible. When he does have a day off, he likes eating out at some small bistro or diner or café, anywhere 'everyone' goes for lunch on Saturday. In Middle Area, that place would be Denny's. Hobbies: gardening, playing the guitar and singing old Russian tunes, reading books, listening to music, engaging in stimulating conversation with interesting people Clubs and Organizations: Uhm. This bio may or may not be the truth, depending on your definition of 'truth', 'lies', 'obfuscation' and 'celery'. In fact, the previous statement would go for pretty much anything Elim tells you about himself. But for the purpose of this short biography, telling the truth will be the goal - though it doesn't actually exist as a solid concept, in Garak's humble opinion. His official file will state he was born in the 1960's in a small rural town in the south-eastern regions of the former USSR, that he grew up, did good in school, and completed a three year education at the university of Saint Petersburg, or 'Leningrad', as it was called in those days. Furthermore, his records will tell you that he's worked several years as a gardener in Spain, and that one of his hobbies is cultivating orchids. His records will plainly state that he was exiled from Russia due to tax evasion. |
